Motorola, has been prompt in updating its smartphones to the latest
version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop ever since it was released by
Google. Devices such as the second generation of Moto X and Moto G have
also received the upgrade even before certain Nexus devices. Despite
this, the first generation of Moto X was still running on Android
KitKat.
This is going to change now, as a select few members of
support forums of Motorola have now began receiving the Android Lollipop
updates on their Moto X. Notably, this is the 5.0.2 update and Motorola
has not declared any intentions to release the 5.1 update for the
device.
Since this is a soak test, it will be limited to a very
few number of people. So in a way, this is a beta test. The actual
update will begin rolling out to everyone after some time
