Apple Watch was announced last year. But Apple revealed its price only on Monday night. The basic version of the device will have a starting price of $350 - the India price is not yet known but it will be at least around Rs.22,000. This is a decent price for a watch that is going to be fairly sophisticated and feature packed.
But what if you are in mood to splurge? Well, then you can get the Apple watch made using 18-Karat gold. The most expensive model of that watch will cost a whopping $17,000 or little over Rs.10.5 lakh.
But that is not the limit for the Richie Rich of the world. The price tag of $17,000 will buy you just the watch. And honestly that is a boring prospect. What good is a watch that you can't customise so that the style matches your mood on the day or at least compliments what you are doing?
For example, when you are in a gym, you won't like to go in with the watch wrapped around your wrist with a leather bracelet. Instead, you want a sports band. And that will cost you an extra $49.
But of course, you can't wear the same blue band in gym daily. So you need more colour options. And Apple is giving you exactly that. By spending around $300 you can get sports bands in 6 colours, which you can then strap to your $17,000 watch, changing them every day of the week.
For Sunday there is no band because everyone knows, and Apple too, that Sunday is the day of rest. You don't go to gym that day.
Instead on Sunday you go to play golf. And for that you need a different strap. Something more metal in it. Something with more bling. Something that catches the attention of your friend as you take a swing at the golf ball. Well, Apple has you covered. You can get the Link bracelet. Crafted with intricate artistry and precision, it is a metal bracelet and costs just $449.
Similarly, there are more bands and straps that you will need for your watch because wearing the same thing on your wrist day after day is boring. And little embarrassing. And you don't want to feel embarrassed in front of your friends in a club or while soaking in the sun on a private yacht. So you need more bands.

So be wise and buy added coverage aka extended warranty. It will save you money! Though how much, we don't know yet. Apple has not yet revealed how much it will charge for the extended warranty for the Watch.
Also, this price is just for the 38mm timepiece. If you also want the 42mm timepiece along with the required bands, you can pay additional $17037.
