iPhone 6 and LG G3 get the best smartphone award at MWC

 

GSM Association is a group of mobile operators and related companies that is behind the mega MWC event. The event mainly focuses on mobile technology and this was the 20th year of the association. GSM Mobile Awards happened along with other traditional events at the MWC. The awards are judged by a panel of nearly 300 people from different backgrounds like independent experts, analysts, journalists, academics, and in some cases, mobile operator representatives.
Since all the entries concluded in November last year, the awards were given to nominees that were launched before. The awards have various categories that relate to the mobile industry. A few fairly known categories were:-

Best Solution for Growing Smaller or Independent Networks: Vodafone for Vodafone Interstandard Roaming Services
Best Mobile Service or App for Consumers: Bharti Airtel for One Touch Internet
GSM organizes the largest event in mobile technology and these awards acknowledge the growth in the industry by introducing categories that not only deal with sophisticated advancements but also social developments that are achieved by the means of technology.
