Soon after making the 16GB variant of the device available sans
registration, Chinese tech company Xiaomi has announced that the 64GB
variant of the Mi 4 smartphone will go on open sale on March 28, 2015.
This however looks like a one day affair, as the company has
specifically mentioned that the Mi 4 64GB will be available via open
sale tomorrow.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB will be exclusively available via online retailer Flipkart at a price of
Rs.23,999. The company took to its official @MiIndiaOfficial Twitter handle to make the formal announcement.
The company has however not detailed the exact number of units that
would be made available for sale. Considering Xiaomi's track record, we
expect the available units to go out of stock in a jiffy.
The
Xiaomi Mi 4 features a 5-inch full-HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen
display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution that roughly translates to
441 ppi. It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
processor coupled with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB RAM.
The device
runs Android 4.4.3 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company's own MIUI 6
on top. It sports a 13MP rear autofocus with LED flash and an 8MP front
camera. It is backed by a 3080 mAh battery and supports 4G LTE.
